When and at what time do we meet?
Summer Club meets Mondays, June 15 - August 10, 2026 - from 4:30 pm to 5:15 pm. Please be prompt to arrive and pick up your runner.
Where do we practice?
The first practice will be at Spring Canyon Park at the furthest west end of Horsetooth Road in Fort Collins. Enter the park. You will see a Veterans Memorial area. Turn left toward the foothills. You will see a pavilion there with a "RUNCatholic" sign. Upon registration your email will be added to the member only team calendar for live updates regarding weather updates and locations for future practices.
What should I wear to practice?
Comfortable, weather appropriate running clothes; shorts, t-shirt, and a good pair of running shoes are a good starting point. At RUNCatholic we uphold the Catholic Faith and the standards of dressing modestly. When in doubt, ask yourself 'What would the Blessed Mother do?"
What should I bring to practice?
A good attitude and a water bottle. Sunglasses, sunscreen, antiperspirant and a sweat towel are helpful for some. Many runners enjoy the use of recovery snacks and additional stretching after practices and races. Bananas, oranges, honey sticks, and protein snacks are helpful for before or after practice. Do not plan for snack breaks during practices.
What should I expect at a race or competition?
Coach Lilly will send out race information one week ahead of each race date via email. Plan to arrive at least 30 min early from your start time. Parking availability for cars on race days can be laborious, so plan ahead. Arrive with your team jersey on and your personal run gear. Use the RUNCatholic sign to direct you to the RUNCatholic tent. The tent offers a shady area to gather, sign in, stretch, safety pin your race badge/bib to the front of your jersey, and take part in a team huddle. After races are completed runners meet back at the RUNCatholic tent for team huddle, photos, and sign out.
How might volunteers and avid supporters participate?
Coach Lilly is interviewing avid supporters and volunteers with talent in the following categories:
It is always encouraged that a cheering section of adults/parents/families spread out along the course at trial races and competition days to support the whole team. *Noise makers, cowbells, and rally chants are encouraged at trial race days and competitions.
If you have talent in these areas and wish to volunteer with the mission of RUNCatholic, please email Coach Lilly at lavierlilly@gmail.com.
Where do we compete?
Included in each club registration are entry fees to a limited variety of local races (typically 3 races per season). The team calendar holds the official schedule and details. This link is an example of area races for individuals and teams to participate in. Registration fees for races range from $10 - $50 per person.
What is the benefit of the registration fee?
Collegiate level coaching, team jersey (while supplies last), race registrations (approximately three races, ~$40+ dollar value), Catholic formation and inspiration for body, mind and soul wellness. Collectively building up a community of saints in the making.
Can I just pay by the session?
The first practice of each season begins with a courtesy OPEN HOUSE style format. Bring your runner and take a 'test run' to gauge your level of interest and ability. You can decide if RUNCatholic is a good fit! Refunds and pay by the session fees are not available. Club Season dues are required to be paid in full by the registration deadline. Scholarship options are available. Please email Coach Lilly at lavierlilly@gmail.com for additional information.
Safety Precautions?
Please arrive on time for drop off and pick up times. Use the ABSENCE FORM on the team website to notify Coach Lilly of scheduled absences or pre-arranged pick ups for accurate sign out and safety. Practices and races are generally located at open, public spaces. If you have safety tips or are a big tough Catholic guy that wants to be our St. Michael, email lavierlilly@gmail.com
