Dr. Cynthia Collins' interest in optometry started when her younger brother was labeled as learning challenged. After searching for answers, he was diagnosed with focusing issues and prescribed Vision Therapy. He had a deficit that prevented him from switching his focus from far to close tasks as rapidly as his peers and delayed his ability to follow lessons at school. After Dr. Collins learned that one in three students is impacted by a vision-related learning deficit, her mission became to ensure that everyone is processing at their highest potential.

Many of the diseases in the eye originate from nutritional deficits and poor vitamin absorption in the digestive tract. Her passion extends to finding the root cause of health issues. After resolving her own health problems with lifestyle and nutrition changes, she became an advocate for her patients to experience healing without the use of pharmaceutical agents whenever possible. When our bodies function as God intended, we eliminate the need to artificially fix them.

She feels privileged to take medical “jargon” and make it understandable in simple, relatable terms. Empowering patients through education achieves a level of understanding that is outside today's widespread standard of impersonal patient care.

Dr. Collins works with a team of holistic advocates both in the professional and personal realms. She is a member of the Colorado House of Prayer and participates with their Healthcare team to provide healing ministry to the community in Northern Colorado.
