“May the eyes of [your] hearts be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope that belongs to His call, what are the riches of glory in his inheritance…”

Ephesians 1:15

Jaclyn Munson, OD, FAAO

Dr. Jaclyn Munson decided to become an optometrist after caring for a young classmate, Lance, who suffered from blindness. Jaclyn and Lance would “wheel” together to recess, to lunch, to the bus stop, and the classroom together. As a fifth grade student, Jaclyn felt a strong sense of responsibility to ensure everyone has the freedom to see clearly. This evolved into a passion to empower patients to control the earliest signs of disease, and ultimately to strengthen the success of her community. Thanks to Lance and his impact on Jaclyn’s life, she is answering that early call to protect, care, and prevent blindness for others like him. Since that time, she has remained steadfastly dedicated to her patients.

Prevention is at the heart of everything Dr. Munson does, and she firmly believes in empowering her patients with knowledge, natural remedies and procedures, and measurable outcomes to ensure their potential is always ahead of the game. “You should never be held captive by your vision,” she says.

At Fort Collins Family Eye Care, Dr. Munson has built a network of providers inside and outside of her own industry who cultivate an attitude and culture of prevention. This network of like-minded providers creates a circle of safety around patient care and best outcomes.

When you are a patient at Fort Collins Family Eye Care, you can expect to be treated like family. Your happiness, experience, and successful outcomes are the top priorities. Dr. Munson hopes that not only your eyes, but the eyes of your heart are known and cherished.
